Final Essay
As the world became globally and lifetime of mankind became longer than before, people can learn culture around the world and broaden their perspective and they began to find ways to enjoy during their elongated lifetime. This situation can be applied to me. I can hear many issues around the world and think about some stereotypes with broaden perspective. Also thanks to elongated lifetime, I have to concern about my body to be healthy not only at now but also at future and I want to spend my life more enjoyable as possible. For these reasons, I selected 3 articles from my classmates' blogs and I will talk about them from now on.
First article is "Equal marriage arrives to the CC" from Jeon Hyuk Joon's blog and I chose this article because it is one of controversial issue or stereotype around the world. According to this article, in Ecuador, two women who are homosexual submitted protective action which is related to marriage between homosexual people to the Constitutional Court. The couple believed that approving this suggestion means that justice is done and then people can realize the violation to homosexual people in the country is still existed. My classmate Jeon Hyuk Joon doesn't like this article because he thinks that the marriage between homosexual people is against reproductive system and it will have a bad effect on adoptees and so on. In my opinion, however, I disagree with him. I think that marriage between homosexual should be permitted because they have right to love although they are homosexual and they can have a family if they adopt children. If it is permitted, homosexual people can live their life more freely and happily. Therefore, although 'Marriage between homosexual' is still very controversial issue, I suggest that it should be allowed.
Second article is "Doctors vote for ban on UK cigarette sales to those born after 2000" from Shim Jae Ho's blog and I chose this article because it is closely related to health of people. As reported by this article, British doctors agreed with prohibition about the sale of cigarettes to anyone born after 2000. The doctors also announced that smokers who started smoking when they are young around fifteen are three times more dangerous of death from cancer than someone who started in their mid-20s. Shim Jae Ho also agree with the doctors' opinion because he already knows that smoking is more harmful to young people than to adults. So he thinks that the sale cigarettes to those born after 2000 should be banned. I entirely agree with him and this article because I also know full well that smoking at young age is very harmful to their health. In case of girls, if they smoke a lot, they could produce deformed child in the future. I also agree with Shim Jae Ho's opinion that adults must give attention to young people whether they try to buy cigarettes illegally or not. Thus, I agree with Jae Ho Shim and the doctors in this article and I hope that many people live their elongated life healthier by stopping smoking at young age.
The last article is "Bolivia: World's Highest Cable Car Soars through Andes Mountains" from Kim Ha Young's blog and I chose this article because I became interested in the world's highest cable car and wanted to see exactly what it is. According to the article, the world's highest cable car connects two cities named La Paz and El Alto, and passengers are able to enter the other city by only 10 minutes. In addition, as many as 18000 people can take these cars per hour and they can admire magnificent view in the sky. Kim Ha Young thinks that the cable cars are helpful to two cities because they can ease off traffic jam and earn a lot of money by attracting tourists. I agree with Kim Ha Young's thought that these cars are very helpful to economy of two cities but I have some more to talk about them. In my opinion, I think that these cars are helpful not only for those two cities but also for the whole country because people who take these cars can visit other many tourist attractions in the country and they can have great image for Bolivia. And the cable cars should be checked regularly for safety. I became aware of this cable cars for the first time, I really want to go and take this cars some time or other in my life.
I have thought of these three articles such as 'marriage between homosexual', 'ban on UK cigarette sales to those born after 2000' and 'World's Highest Cable Car Soars through Andes Mountains'. By looking into these articles and comparing my opinions to writers' opinions, I realized that I am quite generous to those who are different from me and I regard health as important and finally I am interested in enjoying my life. I have hard times writing this essay but I think that this work was a good opportunity to compare and share views among I and other students on several current events.
